About Donna Liu

Donna Liu Fang was born in ShanYang, the capital city of LiaoNing in northern China. Since little, she had already shown the talent in art and design. After the high school, she entered Lacquerare program in Luxun Academy of Fine Art. Studied under Professor Dong Lin, she gained the deep understanding on color, lines and shapes and was able to express precisely of her thought and the view of the world.

In 2003, Donna Liu Fang went to Birmingham Institute of Art and Design to pursue her passion on fashion design. She completed the degree of the Bachelor of Art in 2006 as the Honor student. In the same year, she was accepted for the master program at University-College for the Creative Art. Her study was led by famous fashion critics, Professor Ulrich Lehmann during the program.

Soon after her graduation in 2007 from her master program, she joined the Alexander McQueen studio in London as an intern and became the full time employ as Creative Pattern Cutter six months later. She continued to work closely with this world fashion power icon for the next two years before she returned to China.

In 2010, Donna Liu Fang decided to return to China to pursue her dream. A year later, she founded her own fashion studio focus on couturier dress and personalized corset. In 2011, she also introduced her own high fashion label Leurre F.L.

With Chinese women going into the world fashion stage, I want to create a high fashion label from China and bring it to the world.”
